Year review

My Year review.

My favourite part of this year was all the outings we went on, I would like to thank the school, fundraising committee, the parents, and all the other people to make that happen. The only bad thing about this year was the school not always taking in the suggestions like on pet day they didn't take in games like apple bobing and many other games. My favourite topics this year would have to be art, health, cooking, and writing. I think I have made lots of progress this year because I have gotten bigger marks on my tests. The digital learning was a change and it does help me by keeping track of things not losing things and the digital creations that we made will always be there for us to look at. I am excited next year for tech and I wonder what the year 6s will be doing.

In our class we are learning about money & we have our own companies. We are using this online banking class website called banqer it stores all our money in it. Chelsea, Lucy, and I made this company called H.U.T also known for headphone untangles. we decided on blue because loyalty and trust. For our company we untangle headphones in the morning and we are getting paid $500 Ruma J dollars per week.

St Johns visit

Tuesday the 2nd of august, we had Denise from St Johns come for a lesson. She brought her CPR dummies and she named them Burt. We used the dummies to practice CPR on them. Her toy ambulance Amby came. My favorite part was the hypothermia scenario, we had make right choices so Joe would live not die. We had 2 minutes to right down what we need and that was for the rest of the hike. Then Joe slipped in water and then we had keep him alive. Our group killed Joe and one grouped did not kill him. We killed him because we gave him food and he choked. We got to listen to our heart beat mine was fast. Some of us got to see our pulse.

Elgregoe Magic show

Today Elgregoe came to our school, the whole school piled into the library. Elgregoe's magic show was amazing, he had a assistance and her name was Sue. Elgregoe had many animals on his show which he made them appear and disappear. I think the most important part was his whole show was teaching us about bullying. My favourite parts were how he made fluffy bum the bunny appear, how he made the dove fly out of the picture and how he floated. Some pluses were how it was funny and entertaining. There were no minuses and I love how he works with birds and animals.

           

LF & ER sound discovery

Lucy and I did a discovery and we found out that the more bigger stiff objects were louder and smaller flimsy were quieter. I hope you enjoy the video and leave a comment what one you is loudest!  

Sound learning

Casey and I found out that if the glasses were more fill it was a low sound but if it was less fill it was high pitch sound.

Ukulele lesson

                                          Today we did ukulele and I learnt how to back strum. At first we did some warm ups then back strum. how you do back strum is easy really you strum down then back up and that counts as one strum. Bridget and I made up a song and we did not back strum because it can be challenging and we were not confident. Ukulele is one of my hobbies I love the sound and it relaxes me ukulele is my favourite instrument! I hope you enjoy the song and if you don't play ukulele you should and try back strumming!     

Flora & Fauna Lesson with Henk and Mr Barnett

Today are class, walked the velenski track with Mr Barnett & Henk, we did this walk because we are learning about Flora & Fauna. I learnt a lot of new names of plants and felt the leaves of some of them & some of the leaves were prickly, soft, fluffy & hard. Before we left school Mr Barnett and Henk did some bird noises. Trying the leaves was a disgusting new experience. This was very helpful for 
 flora & fauna learning. My favourite part was the touching the fern leaves.
