Personal inquiry reflection.

I think that I have done most of my photos that I wanted to take I still need more photos for my slideshow. I did want to get hold of some photographers to show me some techniques, sadly no one got back to me. I think I am up to date with my time table but I have had to change it around. I do need to edit more photos but I don't think I will have enough time because I need to make a slideshow and take more photos. I have planned put how I am sharing my work, I did want to do something better but I wouldn't have enough time. In the time left I need to put together my slideshow, I need to take more photos and I need to edit the ones that are worth editing.

Class Kiwi Creche Visit

Intro- 

The class journeyed far to Papora range to find the kiwi creche . Jo the kiwi protector was the expert that showed us around, she explained what the Kiwi Creche was all about and why it was out here. Jo also told us about the evil predators that are killing our native Kiwi.

Waiting for the Kiwi - 

Jo pulled out an aerial to search for Juno the Kiwi, the Kiwi had a small harmless transmitter attached to her leg. There was a faint beeping which was Juno’s transmitter letting us know where she was. We then voyaged to where the kiwi was in hiding. Jo trekked through the tough gorse to locate the kiwi. We remained in a clearing for Jo to return with with the kiwi, the adrenaline rushed through our bodies while we waited.

Seeing the Kiwi-

Jo then fought her way out of the bristled gorse. She held in her scratched hand a twitching bag. Jo had returned with the kiwi her name was Juno. Jo tried her best to catch Kaipo but she couldn’t so she just brought Juno. Jo said for us to split into groups so then we didn’t over crowd Juno. Jo grasped hold of Juno’s struggling legs and heaved her out of the green bag. The brown speckled kiwi was confused and disturbed, she tried her best to escape out Jo’s hands. We were all speechless. The kiwi’s beautiful, soft feathers captured our attention. Jo carefully checked her health, since it was day time Juno was drifting of to sleep.

Personal comment-

Overall I think that this trip was an amazing opportunity for us. I was astonished about how many facts there were about kiwis. It was awesome to be so close to our kiwi. Seeing the kiwi wasn’t the only good part, learning about the kiwi’s themselves was shocking.

Weekly reflection!!

Am I on task?
I think that I am on task most of the time, the only thing that would put my of what I'm doing is listening to music. I am getting thing done, all I need to do is writing, maths and other things. I'm feeling proud with myself and of what I have achieved. The thing I need to focus on is my maths. I need to stop talking to my friends all the time last week I wasn't on task.
Am I managing my time well?
I think I am managing my time pretty good, I have done everything I have need to this week. I need to do my writing and I should've started it but I haven't. I have finished my kiwi kids news and I have been doing things ahead of time.
Is trello working for me?
I think that trello is a guide for me, it really helps me with what I need to do. I can look in the overdue tasks and do the things that I need to do. I don't really use my own list, which I need to do.

Weekly Revision

Most of the week I was sick so I didn't get much done, all I did when I was sick was my email to Ronald Mcdonald House for my personal inquiry. At school I did some of my writing but I think I should've done more of it. I completed some of my tasks that I was asked to. I think that I am getting into rhythm now. I also completed my Kiwi kids news. I am glad that I completed things I needed to today. 

Weekly reflection wk 1 term 3

This week has been a long week, I have achieved a sufficient amount of work. I think I should've done more khan instead of watercolour painting. I think that I was really good with my time management, I was focus most of the time. I have learnt to do more things on scratch and I have planned my personal project. Next week I think I should do more khan, more writing and more painting for my watercolour portfolio. I am going to try and write a weekly reflection every fortnight.

The first week of the holidays I didn't do much. Dad fixed Rose-elles and my bike so then we could go for a bike ride with Thomas. Once they were ready we went for a bike ride (this was late at night).The next day Dad took Thomas, Rose-elle, and I fire wooding we got stuck in the prickles and then the radiation hose blew so Dad had to fix it but he didn't have the tools. Luckily we had bottles of juice so Dad just cut open one and temporarily fixed the radiation hose. We left for fire wooding at 11am and got home at about 8pm. The next week was more interesting. We were going to go to Hokitika for the day, but Holly (my sister) called Mum and said that Tyson (my 1 year old nephew) was in hospital. Elizabeth and Thomas still went to Hokitika. Mum stayed at the hospital with Holly and Tyson for the day, Matt (Tysons Dad) went fire wooding so Rose-elle and I looked after Sapphire (My 4 year old Niece). We walked around for a bit then had lunch, we called Mum to come pick us up and take us back to Holly's house, once we got there I went back to the hospital with Mum. Tyson was not aloud out of his hospital room since he was in isolation. He stayed at the hospital for 3 nights. Mum, Rose-elle, Thomas, and I all stayed at Holly's to help out. I also went for some horse rides through the holidays.

On Saturday I woke up early to clean the kitchen and to get Mum breakfast in bed since it was her birthday. Thomas made her a card and we took in the breakfast and the card for her. Later that day Holly, Sapphire, Matt, Hoodie, Tyson came out with presents and drinks. Dad surprised us all and came out with presents for Mum and Lunch, we had pizza for lunch and we had some cake for pudding. Every left after that but Holly, Sapphire, and Tyson they stayed the night. In the morning I went to Holly's house to get ready for Mila's 5th birthday party. Dad picked Sapphire and I up to go to the party. There was a bouncy castle and a pony, kids were riding the pony.

Friday night Mum, Bob, Thomas and I went to the crusaders and hurricanes game at rugby park. The game was really good. The end score was 22-44 to the hurricanes after the game everyone ran onto the field and got the players to sign somethings like books, hats, flags, shirts. I got my hat signed and Thomas got a photo with a crusader and his flag signed. On Saturday Breagh came over and her Mum took us to town and dropped us off at the movie theater to buy movie tickets for the maze runner. Her Mum went home so Breagh and I were in town together alone. We walked to McDonalds to have some lunch and Tylar and his family was there so they came over to sit with us and we talked for a bit. Breagh and I walked to the movie theater and watched the movie, we both ended up crying at the end of the movie. Once the movie was finished and we walked to my sister's house we Breagh's Mum picked us up. Sunday we took Breagh home and Monday and Tuesday were relaxing days

Narrative- Peck's Adventure.

I really enjoyed writing this narrative I think I was my best narrative yet. Next time I would probably do something bigger for my creation. I really like narratives, reading them and writing them. The video was helpful but next time I want to come up with one, that is meaning no videos and I will not use the game of awesome.

On Friday it was my Mum's birthday so I didn't go to school. Since Rose-elle, and Thomas had to sort things out for a surprise. I went to town with Mum, and Elizabeth. Mum had to drop Elizabeth, and I off at the library, because she had to go and have lunch with Holly, and Tyson. For the rest off the weekend I stayed at Holly's house. Tyson said my name.

On Friday after school Mum took Thomas, Rose-elle, and I to town. We did groceries and had KFC, then we went to the shed to drop of Rose-elle. Once Rose-elle left we headed home. In the morning Dad took us to pick up Rose-elle, since it was April fools I scared Rose-elle. We decided to go to Holly's house, to see Holly, Matt, Sapphire, Hoody, and Tyson. We stayed there for around about 3 hours.

On Friday when I got home from school we went straight to town and brought some bits, then Mum drove me and Thomas to Dad's work because she had work. Once we got home with Dad we had to go out to a call out. We were there for like 2 hours. On Saturday we went to the classic car rally, where Scouts asked the people in the car 10 questions. After that I went to town with Mum and did grocery's. We also went swimming on Saturday and Sunday.

Science Road Show Reflection

Science Road Show

Today we went to Grey High for the science road show.The science road show is an interactive science show. They teach children science in a fun way. Grey High students were helping out and making sure we were safe. We were learning about physical and chemical changes, when something changes physically it can change back but when it is change chemically it will not change back. There was a competition where you had to find science stalls with a yellow flag, you had to find out what that stall was about and tell an adult and they got a hole in their card. To enter you had to have 2 or more holes. The prize was something from a 3D printer.

After school on Friday Lucy came over to my house for a night and we watched movies. We also played PlayStation all night. On Saturday Holly, Sapphire, Tyson and Matt came over for the night and Lucy hung out with Sapphire and Tyson. Then on Sunday we went swimming at the lake.

On Friday I went over to Catrin's house for the night. We watched movies and ate Chinese food, then we went to bed and talked for 2 hours. In the morning we got ready to go to Shanty Town, and Drayden was looking after us. Once we got there we went on the train and walked back, Then we went on the 5 min walk and I hid under the bridge and when people walked over the bridge I said "who's that trip taping over my bridge!" When we went back they took me home and Holly, Matt, Sapphire, and Tyson came for tea. Sapphire gave me a big hug and so did Tyson. I had lots of fun this weekend.    

Year review

My Year review.

My favourite part of this year was all the outings we went on, I would like to thank the school, fundraising committee, the parents, and all the other people to make that happen. The only bad thing about this year was the school not always taking in the suggestions like on pet day they didn't take in games like apple bobing and many other games. My favourite topics this year would have to be art, health, cooking, and writing. I think I have made lots of progress this year because I have gotten bigger marks on my tests. The digital learning was a change and it does help me by keeping track of things not losing things and the digital creations that we made will always be there for us to look at. I am excited next year for tech and I wonder what the year 6s will be doing.
