Air-show accidentally burns spectators!
This Day in History

About this accident-

On this day in 1988 an air-show was held at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany. Three jets collide in the air killing 3 pilots instantly, it burned the spectators killing 30 of them and injuring the rest.

The jet that caused the collision was led by Lieutenant Colonel Ivo Nutallari, the Lieutenant told his team to attempt a crossover move. The Lieutenant miscalculated this move and his jet collided with two more jets, the three jets exploded in the air spraying jet fuel over the spectators.

Germany then banned air-shows for 3 years. Now they are allowing air-shows to happen again but the jets have to fly away from the spectators.

L.O- To develop something that go on the radio.
This disaster was probably on the radio, I did find many news articles on this.

Weekly reflection

Weekly Reflection
Am I willing to step forward and say something isn't working for me?
I think that If something isn't working for me I would ask for help, just like when I couldn't figure out how to work it some one helped me. I am fine with saying something isn't working for me, because if I don't then I wont get help.
Am I able to be clear in what I want to talk about when there is an issue?
I think if I have a problem with my work I will be able to explain the problem pretty good. I think that if I had a problem with a class mate then it would be a bit different. I am fine with explaining my issue's.
What I accomplished.
This week I have done extremely well on my personal inquiry, I have booked a sausage sizzle at the warehouse and I have a Sunday market planned. I haven't managed my time as well, I finished all my math sheets.

Weekly reflection

Weekly Reflection
What will change in the school look like for me?
I think that the school changing with a new principle is going to be very different. The new principle won't be the same and there would be different expectations. The school changing a bit won't affect me much because I'm not the one who has a whole different teacher.
Will I change?
I don't think that I will change much, it affect me. The only way I would change is the different rules that the new principle put in. I won't change my behavior I will still act the same.

What can I expect when the school changes?
I expect that there will be different rules, expectations. I think that students could act differently in front of the new teacher/principle. I expect that different things will be done.

LO: Show not tell, expand the sentence I was happy.
A bursting smile swept over her fair, soft face. Her slim body overfilled with joy as the warm, spring breeze gently skimmed her smooth skin. She gradually kicked up the orange and red delicate leaves. She fell to the grassy, wet ground and burst into a never ending laughter. She had never felt so powerful before, she understood that she was blessed with family, friends and joy!

This Day in history!

This day in history is something we participate in Ruma C every morning. It involves searching up what happened on this day, but a different year. With our creation, we also have to do a so what. A so what is when we explain why this is important to know, and why we should learn about these things. Today we chose to do a blackout shot. Thank you for looking at my blog.

Little red riding hood scratch

Use the arrow keys to move, the aim of the game is to find little red riding hoods granny's house. Go left or right to go to another location. Press space to get back to the woods. When you are with the fox there is no escape. The question is is right really right or is it left?

Quick write- Use a sentence starter!

"Come on no one will know, stop being scared!" Sven Teased.
"I don't think it is the right thing to do, two wrongs don't make a right" Jones whispered as he pulled Eden back.
"They will never know it was us, please, he totally embarrassed you."  Eden pleaded.
"Fine, but I'm keeping watch I'm not going to throw slimy eggs at his house." Jones said
Eden agreed to the circumstances and started to haul the eggs all over his house. He then selected the silky white toilet paper and sent it flying over his gardens. That is when Billy turned up, he saw the state that his house was in and he saw the 2 annoying people who did this. Billy soon quickly sprinted after the two boys, but he wasn't fast enough. The boys swung through the front door and flied into Sven's room.
"The cats out of the bag!" Sven whispered.

Firework minefield!

“Leave me alone, I’m about to watch the lights in the sky!” Pauline bellowed.

“What lights? There are no lights in the sky” Sally said as a confused look swept over her face.

“I mean the loud fireworks we planned!” Pauline reminded Sally.

Sally jumped up in excitement, the young, small 4 yo girl was joyed. The loud fireworks had started and gave Pauline a startle. The sparking fireworks were everywhere, it was a minefield. They had to get out of their right away, they dodged as many fireworks as they could, but Sally slowly lay her foot on one that was ready to blow.

We had 5 minutes to complete this story. We were given a sentence starter which was - “Leave me alone, I’m about to watch the lights in the sky!” Pauline bellowed.

Am I on task?
I think that I am on task most of the time, the only thing that would put my of what I'm doing is listening to music. I am getting thing done, all I need to do is writing, maths and other things. I'm feeling proud with myself and of what I have achieved. The thing I need to focus on is my maths. I need to stop talking to my friends all the time last week I wasn't on task.
Am I managing my time well?
I think I am managing my time pretty good, I have done everything I have need to this week. I need to do my writing and I should've started it but I haven't. I have finished my kiwi kids news and I have been doing things ahead of time.
Is trello working for me?
I think that trello is a guide for me, it really helps me with what I need to do. I can look in the overdue tasks and do the things that I need to do. I don't really use my own list, which I need to do.

Quick write

The smokey, misty air fulling the the back mysterious room. Nothing but blackness is to be seen, mice and rats scurry across the lino floor. The sound of laughter, music and beer bottles smashing to the ground. You run your hand along the cold walls to find the light, blinding light fills the empty space. Everything you touch is frozen solid, there is ice hanging from the shelf's of beer. You take deep breaths as you breathe in through your nose you smell something rotten, you lift your foot up to find dead rats.

LO: We were asked to write a piece of writing that explained a setting, my setting was in the back room of a pub, we only got 5 minutes to do this.

Aria slowly walks down the street, her long, silky black hair swaying behind her. Her blue eyes dart from people to people trying to find her best friend Mia. Her friend walks up to her with a confused and disgusted look on her face, Aria’s friend was dressed a girly dress but Aria wore her best sweatpants, her plan t-shirt and her nike sneakers. Mia loved her friend not because of what she wore, but because she was sweet, kind and she had a good taste of music (Jazz)!

Mysterious explosions in Colombia!
This Day In History

By Emily & Mary

About this article
There were 20 trucks loaded with dynamite, these trucks stopped in Buenaventura. 13 of these trucks headed to Bogato, the other 7 were going to a different location so they were parked overnight. Just after midnight the 7 trucks blew up killing over 1,000 people and injuring thousands of people. It is still a mysterious today, no one knows why the trucks blew up.

So What?
These trucks were fully loaded with dynamite and it is very dangerous, these trucks killed over 1,000 people and injuring many people as well. It just shows that trucks shouldn’t be carrying explosives everywhere because you don’t know when they might explode.
